Massage – Who is It Good for?

Going to a spa and treating yourself with a comforting relaxing massage is one of the most popular ways for people to take a break from their hectic pace of life and recharge their batteries, so to speak. This is really good for both body and soul, as it helps people relax, vent some stress, unwind their muscles, improve blood flow, balance their physical condition and their mental state of mind, and sometimes, simply enjoy life's little treats.

However, it is very important to remember that in some cases it is advised to refrain from getting a massage, here are a couple of examples.

When You Should Wait Before Getting a Massage

If you went through an abdominal, back, knees, or waist surgery – you can’t have a massage before your doctor clears you off. If you have heart problems you are not to have a massage. In case you are pregnant – you can’t have a massage, as it is dangerous for you and the baby. Although, if you are pregnant, it is safe for you to have a foot massage, a neck or shoulders massage. Should you suffer from high blood pressure – it is not safe for you to have a massage. If you've come down with a cold or a flue – wait till you feel better to have a pampering massage.

The Relaxing Hands of Thai Time
